I started at Croda in 2011 because the idea of working for a global company attracted me. Before joining Croda, I had been working within the Pharma Industry where I developed my sales skills which helped me to get a Sales Representative job at Croda Iberica. During the job interview I was convinced that Croda was the company I have always wanted to work for and I started to work at the Barcelona office where I was responsible for growing the Crop Care and Personal Care businesses. It was a challenging experience as I had to learn from scratch all the product portfolios for both markets and I had to manage 50% of my time for each market which required very different sales approaches.
After some time developing the Crop Care and Personal Care markets, the prospected customers transformed into new sales and projects, as a result of this, Croda recognised my efforts and promoted me to the role of Area Sales Manager. During that period, Croda prepared me for the future and I attended several trainings that helped me to improve my sales and management skills. The Crop Care business became more important at that time as it was one of the businesses with a major growth rate. Due to my colleague’s maternity leave, I had to take care of the Consumer Care department for a limited period of time. During that time, I had to carefully organise my time across all 3 businesses (Crop Care, Personal Care and Health Care) and it was the perfect opportunity to learn about the Health Care market and further developed my management skills.
My life made a 180-degree change when Croda gave me the opportunity to become Country Sales Manager and I had to relocate to Sydney, Australia! In my new role, I am responsible for maintaining the growth across all the PTIC markets (Home Care, Coatings and Polymers, Polymer Additives, Geo Technologies, Lubricants and Industrial Chemicals) for the Australasian region and I also manage the current sales team covering Health Care, Crop Care and Personal Care.
