I joined Croda as a graduate trainee right out of college. I was based at Atlas Point and spent time in marketing, production and R&D. I also had the privilege of spending 7 months within the European supply chain organisation in the UK and the Netherlands. These assignments prepared me for a future sales role.
2006 - 2008
The acquisition of Uniqema created an opportunity for me to move into an external sales role very quickly. I was promoted to Account Manager and became responsible for the Northeast U.S. territory for Coatings and Polymers as well as Polymer Additives. During this time, I developed my selling skills on the road and was empowered to make a direct impact to the financial success of Croda.
2008 - 2010
I was promoted to Key Account Manager in 2008. My territory expanded and I managed many of the key C&P customers across the eastern half of the U.S. I was involved in many of the key innovation projects with large multi-national customers. In 2010, I also completed Croda’s SMBA program for management and leadership skills.
2010 - 2012
In 2010, I was promoted to Sales Development Specialist for Lubricants and Polymer Additives. The highlight of this period was helping make the Lubricant Ester expansion at Atlas Point successful. I helped launch 10 new products in 2011 and 2012 and gained experience in a new market sector. In 2011, I began taking part-time MBA classes, sponsored by Croda. This allowed me to strengthen my business acumen outside of the walls of Croda.
2012 to present
U.S. Sales Manager- 2012 to 2017 In 2012, I was promoted to U.S. Sales Manager for Polymer Additives and Lubricants. I currently manage five of the top sales people in the organization who have delivered five straight years of sales growth from 2010 to 2015. In 2014, I completed my MBA at Temple University with a concentration in Marketing. In 2015, I was chosen to participate in the first America’s 2020 Network. This was an invaluable experience that helped me build great relationships with colleagues across different market sectors and across the Croda world. In 2017, I became U.S. Sales Manager for Smart Materials.
In 2018, I was promoted to Sales Director for Health Care, an exciting opportunity to lead a business team and gain experience in a new market sector.
